After making a narrow escape from the clutches of the Conclave, Nova Team makes a desperate attempt to follow a mysterious signal to its source. Their destination is unknown as they hope to find an Arashi vault whose contents could turn this war in their favor. If they are able to find it in time.

On Kaltar, the combined forces of the Milky Way hold off the invading army. Morale is low as the defenders fall to the overwhelming might of the Conclave.

These will be the defining moments that decide whether the Milky Way remains a free galaxy or falls under the domain of the Conclave.
